Lomi Lomi Massage
Lomi Lomi is an ancient form of massage brought to the Hawaiian
Islands by early Polynesian settlers. It is a wonderful way to heal
muscle tension and release the energy blocks that cause it.
During the massage, I use my knowledge of the human energy field to
provide my clients with the specific energetic frequencies they need. I
also loosen blocked energy and move it out of the body in order to
provide more permanent pain relief.
Traditional Lomi Lomi practitioners were kahunas or medicine men. I was drawn to study Lomi Lomi because it so beautifully blends massage and energy healing, allowing me to work on a much deeper level with my clients.
In addition to practicing Auntie Margaret Style Lomi, I also practice Sacred Lomi which is an adaptation of Hawaiian Temple Bodywork. It uses movements based on circles and weaving patterns which create total relaxation for the client. Sacred Lomi’s intention is to weave love, light and spirit into the body, and to undo unhealthy patterns and wounding. It weaves together the conscious and unconscious minds. This work provides a sacred space of unconditional love for clients to feel accepted, to let go and surrender.
Sessions begin with an assessment of your physical and energy bodies. I start with gliding strokes using the palms of my hands and work into the deeper compressive strokes using my forearms and elbows. I also use stretching techniques and gentle rocking to relax and entrain the body.
Pricing: $60.00 for a 1 hour traditional Lomi Massage and $75.00 for a 1 hour Sacred Lomi.
